I worked on this one for days... I thought it was time to do a straight-up portrait of Jackie Earle Haley, and wanted to do one with his awesome blue eyes in color (and, of course, the signature blue glasses). I learned a lot about textures for beards and stubble, and I finally worked up the courage to go up as far as using a 5B pencil! It was a very different experience from using the harder leads.
